“Awesome staff, cozy and relaxed setting (a bit noisy), and great food! Kotoru offers a "reinterpretation" of dishes under the Japanese style, served in small portions, so a couple could have some 4 dishes (we had 6 in 3 people). Some of it stood out: the Ceasar Salad was fun, with finely grated Grana Padano and caramelized pecan. The mushrooms and fried noodles were awesome, super flavourful and working very well together. The matambrito (a fatty chunk of pork finely sliced) was very good too. We also had the paté and the tartar, although they were less remarkable. Oh, the famous desert (rabanada with a milky ice-cream) is very good, takes a bit to prepare. In the drinks department, the house Full Collins was really good, the Yellow Tail less so. A suggestion to the restaurant would be to increase the sake offer to 2-3 options by the glass, instead of just one.”

“Had a great lunch at Kotori! The food was delicious, the abobrinha was a standout, the pescado do dia was really tasty, and the rabanada for dessert was just as good. Lovely ambience and attentive service too. At one point my fiancée dropped her hashis, and within seconds a waiter had already noticed and brought her a new pair. That kind of attentiveness really made the meal. Highly recommend!”

“10.2024 update The menu has changed and now there are even less vegetarian options and they don’t even taste good. The mushroom sauce was sour in an unpleasing way and the noodles were so salty I couldn’t finish it. My friends who tried other dishes/skewers noticed a drop in quality as well. The dessert is the only thing left that’s good. —— “attentive staff”, “not many vegetarian options”, “tasty dessert” The restaurant is well managed and clean, the polite staff were always ready to help. Some more vegetarian dishes would be nice though. I’d personally feel more welcome :) All the food we tried were good but the highlight was definitely the dessert. Yes, it’s heavy, so share with others. It’ll be a perfect finish for dinner.”
